No I did not watch the huge crossover event, I'm not that big of a fan.
The Flash (Season 5): The CW
The Flash (Season 5): UGH Jesus Christ Nora, get a goddamn grip of yourself. Now that that's out of the way, this season's Big Bads were pretty bad, in the sense that they lacked the depth and originality that we were expecting. They followed the same routine: find, neutralize, fail, Cicada gets away, and the process repeats until they finally neutralize him, but OH NO there's another Cicada? Whoever could it be? Surely not the future version of the tiny, helpless girl in the hospital bed who has a piece of shrapnel in her skull. This show in general has the tendency to neglect the development of the "side" characters (I write "side" because they're often more likable than Barry and DEFINITELY Iris). All hope is not lost though, because Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost come to the rescue and provide the best episode this season has seen. I'm 100% looking forward to seeing Danielle Panabaker in season six, as well as in the director's chair!
iZombie (Seasons 3-5): The CW
iZombie (Seasons 3-5): Refreshing new take on the zombie genre, iZombie gives a refreshing narrative on the typical zombie movie experience. It's funny, witty, dramatic, with wonderful twists. I'm really sad to see it go, but it was time. Also... their quarantine situation in Seattle is terrifying. Hit different in May 2020.
Black Lightning (Seasons 2-3): Netflix, The CW
Black Lightning (Seasons 2-3): Black Lightning is a political show from the very first episode. This show has not shielded away from raw and relevant topics such as drug abuse in minors, police brutality, racial profiling, school shootings, and human experiments. Their first and second season was always tuned with reality, but the first episode of the third season takes it to another level, where the episode is centered around kids being rounded up, separated from their families, and locked in camps is particularly pointed. Also the fact that the government has QUARANTINED FREELAND (ooh, the irony) is painfully fitting in 2020. While all of this is going on, Jefferson, Anissa, Lynn, and Gambi all work together to help Jessica control her powers and give her a wicked suit. If you want to watch a show that is politically driven in the superhero world, definitely watch Black Lightning.
Young Justice (Seasons 1-2): Cartoon Network
Young Justice: I love it so much, I just wish they didn't have such a huge expansion in between seasons one and two. Honestly though, this is the BEST show about the DC characters. There's something ini each character that allows all the viewers to relate so some aspect of them, while showing the young audience that you can be a superhero/sidekick and still experience regular adolescent issues and emotions.
